I’m so thrilled to have trained for and just earned my seventh careers industry certification, the Reach Certified Online Identity Strategist.
Offered by Reach Personal Branding, the global leader since 2001 in training and certifying career professionals to help their clients use branding to differentiate themselves and achieve their goals, the Online Identity certification is open to people who have already earned the Reach Certified Personal Branding Strategist credential.
The Certified Professional Resume Writer, the industry’s first designation, was my first certification in 1997. Since then, the careers and job search landscape has changed so much, and professional training and credentialing has kept up the pace. There are now more related certifications than I ever would have believed even a year or so ago.
In the Online ID training program, we learned how to leverage social networking and social media — websites, blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google profiles, ZoomInfo profiles, VisualCV, video, social bookmarking, and much more — to build a strong web presence for our clients – job seekers, careerists, and entrepreneurs.
We also learned how to repair “digital dirt”, continuously monitor online reputation, and improve online presence. You may be aware that I’ve been helping my clients with these strategies for quite some time now. And I’ve been steadily building my own online footprint with social media, social networking, and more. Just Google “meg guiseppi” to see what I’ve been up to.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be working on incorporating all I’ve learned through the program to expand my own online identity and offer new services to help my clients get a handle on their online reputations.
