Add Blog Comments To Your Executive Job Search Campaign

In a post at Executive Career Brand, I wrote about the 5 online identity components every strong executive brand has:

Relevance, Quality, Diversity, Volume, Consistency

Following these guidelines will boost your chances of being found by executive recruiters and hiring authorities sourcing candidates for the companies and jobs you’re targeting.

A powerful, and relatively easy, way to cover all 5 bases is by commenting on relevant blogs. Not only a good way to increase the number of quality search results for “your name”, blog commenting will also build visibility and credibility for your subject matter expertise, and connect you with people who can help you achieve your career goals.

If you’ve shied away from social networking and social media because you just don’t have the time or inclination to take the plunge, blog commenting is a comparatively painless way to dive in.

It can lead you to a forward-thinking community you may not have known otherwise. For the long term, develop a manageable strategy for routine blog commenting on as many blogs as you can handle.

For advice on how to leverage blog commenting, read my recent Executive Career Brand post, Blog Comments: Part of Your Online Executive Brand Communications Plan.
