Don’t even attempt to write your resume, bio, and other career marketing documents until you know who will be reading them and what they’re looking for.

Without first identifying who your target audience is, how can you possibly market yourself in a way that will resonate with them?

Many of the executive clients I work with tell me when we first speak that they’re looking at pursuing several diverse kinds of jobs. They want to be sure their resume will cover them for all those jobs.
