Here’s how we’ll work together to strategically position you for success:
PHASE 1: Executive Branding and Resume Development

VALUE ADDS — The personal branding process will:
- Revitalize you and bolster your confidence in your unique value in the marketplace.
- Fortify you with a clearer focus on where you’re going next and how to get there.
- Energize you for your job search journey.
- Arm you with razor-sharp, brand-driven personal marketing communications that differentiate you from your competition.
As part of Phase 1, I highly recommend including development of your:
Executive Career Biography (See the bio of a CEO - Global Operations client):
Your bio may be requested in lieu of or before your resume and becomes an important part of your online brand identity.
It’s a good idea to develop your executive personal brand, resume, and bio all at the same time, before moving on to Phase 2. Together they form the foundation for all your online and “paper” career marketing communications — LinkedIn profile, Google profile, other social networking profiles, VisualCV, website/blog “About” page, brief bio for guest blogging, and additional career documents.
A bio is also extremely useful for networking, interviewing, and speaking engagements. See my blog post C-level Executive Career Biography or Resume, Which Comes First?
PHASE 2: Building your personal brand, job search, and online identity toolkit. We’ll talk about your investment for each:
Branded Linkedin Profile (see Meg’s LinkedIn profile):
An essential online personal branding and job search tool for top executives.
If you’re not there, you won’t be found by recruiters and hiring decision makers who routinely source and vet candidates by searching LinkedIn. As a C-Level Executive, you need to be on LinkedIn with a brand-reinforcing profile and strategy, just to keep pace with your competition. See my blog post Q&A With Jason Alba: The Inside Skinny on Using LinkedIn to Accelerate Executive Job Search.
An essential companion to your basic package. An opportunity to focus on the benefits and value you will bring to a particular company, matching their specific requirements with your qualifications.
Leadership Initiatives Profile:
Provides a deeper slice of 2 or 3 of your most significant recent career contributions or case studies. Ideal for executive networking and interviewing. See an example for a Senior Global Operations Management Executive client of mine.
Reference Dossier:
Much more than just a list of names and contact information. An enhanced document including testimonials and accolades from professional associates reinforcing your personal brand and showcasing your contributions, achievements, and performance.
VisualCV Creation (Meg is a Certified VisualCV Creator, see Meg’s VisualCV):
House all your career documents and much more in a multi-media rich VisualCV. Everything recruiters and hiring decision makers need to know about you is on one web page, accessible with one click. Development includes session by phone to map out strategy and actual set up of VisualCV content, using your brand new resume and other career marketing communications. See my post A VisualCV Belongs in Your Personal Brand Toolkit.
Google Profile Creation (see Meg’s Google Profile):
A powerful way to build top search results for “your name”. Google “meg guiseppi” (in quotes) and look at the bottom of the first page of results. My photo is included in the listing. Very attention-grabbing!
Want to create your own VisualCV, LinkedIn profile and Google profile but need help strategizing how to make them sing?
Schedule a half-hour or longer consultation with me and I’ll tell you just how to do it well, using the resume, bio and other materials we’ve developed together, along with other relevant materials you may have.
Additional On-Brand Supporting Documents:
Achievement Summary, One-page Networking Resume, Performance Milestones, M&A Chronology, Product Launch Chronology, Project Management Highlights, Technology Skills, Training & Certifications, Speaking Presentations, Publications, Patents, Commitment to Community Service, etc. We’ll name the document to fit the content and target.
Targeted Industry and Company Research:
It’s important to do in-depth research on companies of interest:
- For due diligence,
- For market intelligence to prepare yourself to communicate with them, and
- To find top decision makers within the companies to network with.
Networking your way into companies allows you to tap into the “hidden” job market, circumvent the gatekeepers, and deal directly with decision makers. Read more about targeted research.
You probably know plenty about your own industry, but in the current economy, many C-suite executives are forced to transition to other industries that will benefit from their leadership expertise. Before diving into a career transition, you’ll want all the relevant information you can find. See my post How to Target and Network into Hidden C-Level Executive Jobs.
